Summer is winding down. The entire west coast appears to be on fire. A (crazy) election looms ahead. Back to school sure feels different! At least the autumnal equinox is reliably taking place on the 22nd. As temperatures begin cooling down, leaves make a colorful display. We hope you enjoy it all, stay safe.

VUV deuterium lamp with vacuum flange Cover the 115~350 nanometer wavelength range with the model 634 deuterium source. It has a MgF2 window and is rated at 30 watts. The 634 package includes the source, power supply, cables and housing fitting McPherson slit assemblies. It is easily adapted to commercial vacuum flanges (e.g. ISO or CF). The 634 is also available calibrated, for use as a standard of spectral radiance.

McPherson Model 234302 Deep UV monochromator, model 234/302, works from 30 to 1100 nm overall. It ships exclusively with masterpiece type-IV aberration corrected concave diffraction gratings. Groove spacing in type-IV grating designs is computer optimized to reduce astigmatism and coma, improving instrument performance. To best fit your experiment, accessories are available too, inquire about vacuum compatible filter wheels, light sources, detectors, and beam delivery or light collection optics.

A nice publication produced with a little help from the aforementioned 234/302 "Time- and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy of solids in the extreme ultraviolet at 500 kHz repetition rate" by M. Puppin et al

electron impact light source for soft x-raySoft x-ray (SXR) light source from McPherson features a six position anode carousel. Users can easily change anode target materials, tuning the emission energy, while in high, or even ultra-high vacuum (UHV). This source is available with 1 or 10 watt power levels and we have accessories too! Collimate, focus or use a grazing incidence monochromator for the ultimate spectral purity.

Model 251mx NEW! Aberration-corrected flat-field diffraction grating for 50~200 nanometers now available! This 120 g/mm grating fits the popular 251MX spectrometer from McPherson. It helps span atmospheric to the Extreme-UV! This optical design is best for microchannel plate intensifiers or direct detection CCD array detectors. The aberration correction provides straight spectral lines for best spectral resolution. 2400, 1200, 300 and 120 g/mm available.
