McPherson offers Light Sources for the Ultraviolet, Visible and Infrared region as well as the Vacuum Ultraviolet. These light sources all work with McPherson spectrometers. Accessories are available to adapt them for many purposes.

Power Supplies available from McPherson:

Model 718 - Highly regulated adjustable DC power source for use with Tungsten and Ceramic Emitter or Glowbar sources. This supply is flexible and extremely stable. Operates from 110V/60Hz or 220V/50Hz Model 730 - Power supply for use with rare gas discharge lamps like the Model 629 Hollow Cathode and the Hinteregger Model 630, 2000V, 0.5-Amp constant current. Installed in a fan cooled bench top 19-inch cabinet, safety interlocked, operates from 110V/60Hz or 220V/50Hz Model 713 - Current regulated filtered DC supply to start and operate Xenon arc lamps between 75 and 300 Watts. Line operated 110V/60Hz or 220V/50Hz.


McPherson offers a variety of power supplies and light sources. Our intention is to combine these elements with our monochromators in order to create complete systems for spectroscopy.
