Universal Chimney-style Lamp Housing
The Model 610 Tungsten-Halogen Light Source produces an intense continuum from below 380nm and extending into the near infrared region of the spectrum. The brilliance of this unit, its compactness and excellent control, make it a versatile source with a range of applications including Absorption, Transmission and Reflectance studies. It provides useful continuum over a long wavelength region.
This 650-Watt tungsten-halogen lamp system has a built in reflector to provide maximum transfer of energy and no chromatic aberration at the entrance slit of a monochromator. Forced air cooling and baffling maintains uniform temperature. A single knob provides "On-Off" switching and intensity control for the AC source.
The Model 610 mounts directly on the 5” diameter entrance slit of any McPherson spectrometer. It is useful for VIS-NIR spectroscopy and for optical or experimental systems requiring high light levels.
