The Model 713 power supply is a current regulated and filtered DC supply specifically designed to operate the Model 613 and 621 xenon light sources. The power supply is interlocked to the source for safety in the event the source bulb is removed from the housing. The 621 Source has the additional fan interlock circuit to prevent the housing and lamp from over-heating.
The power supply has the added benefits of "at-a-glance" status LEDS as well as a LED meter continuously monitors lamp current and is also a good indicator of lamp aging. An Igniter Module is included for mounting on or near the light source.
The high-pressure xenon lamp requires a high voltage (on the order of 20kV) for initial start and a lower voltage to sustain lamp operation. A lamp current control switch allows for factory set optimum lamp current selection.
