Model 730 is equipped with a ballast module to accommodate gas discharge function of Noble gas sources. When ordered with a source, the power supply is equipped with all interconnecting cables.

The power supply output is continuously adjustable from 0 to 2000 volts DC. The ten-turn front panel voltage and current controls feature resolution and readability better than 500 ppm. Output is linear to 1%. Control dial can be locked. Output voltage is regulated to better than 0.005% for full load variation.

Current regulation with 0 to 500mA load is better than 100uA from short circuit to rated voltage at any load condition.

Ripple is better than 0.1% of rated voltage at full load. Ripple voltage is proportional to load current and decreases linearity to 0.02% rms of rated voltage at no load. Stability 0.01% per hour after half hour warm-up; 0.05% per 8 hours.

Output is polarity reversible (high voltage with respect to chassis ground.) Separate HV modules have to be used for reverse polarity model.

Features automatic current regulation to protect power supply against overload conditions, including arcs and short circuits. Fuses, surge limiting resistors, and low energy components provide ultimate protection. Primary contactor prevents automatic reset of power supply after line failure
