McPherson, Inc. manufactures a variety of grating monochromators suitable for ultra high vacuum synchrotron beamline installations. We ray trace, design, fabricate, test and install these systems. McPherson high performance UHV systems for soft x-ray and extreme ultraviolet applications work through the 5eV to 2keV energy range (depending on monochromator design and gratings.) McPherson systems can be supplied with 2, 3, 4 or more gratings. Dispersion can be horizontal or vertical. Monochromators include a UHV chamber, viewports, grating mechanism, high accuracy scan mechanism, grating holder with in vacuum coarse and fine adjustment of pitch, roll and yaw, and a support structure that separates the precision grating motions from the vacuum enclosure to help isolate from environmental vibration and thermal fluctuations. |
